But i’m seeing slight palatal rocking on a few maxillary try-ins printed at 50 microns, even after careful border checks and light PIP. Has anyone found a reliable design-stage spacer or intaglio offset that reduces chairside relief for full-arch cases? I’m debating bumping the intaglio offset from 0.06 mm to 0.10 mm before final milling but don’t want to trade away stability.
I tame “palatal rocking” by ditching a global offset and adding a local map: 0.07–0.08 mm relief across the palatal vault but 0.00 on the ridge crest and PPS so it seats on the ridges and stays stable — @OP what CAD are you using for region-specific offsets?
Add two 0.8–1.0 mm palatal “vent holes” to kill hydraulics; using XY comp about 0.02 mm?
