Streamlining root canal room turnover

Looking for tips to cut our RCT op turnover under 10 minutes without compromising asepsis — right now I’m bagging files by size, pre-loading 5.25% NaOCl and EDTA syringes, and running cassettes through a 134°C, 4‑min prevac cycle, but the rubber dam clamp/Isolite swap slows us down. How are you organizing sterile trays so the doctor can request an extra 25/.06 or a new 14A clamp mid-procedure without breaking isolation?

We cut turnover by pre-packing a sterile “dam swap kit”: dam pre-punched and mounted on the frame with a 14A or W8A already tied with floss, plus a sterile Isolite mouthpiece on the bite block so we swap the whole unit like a pit crew. Our files sit in a foam insert with labeled cutouts, so when the doc says “extra 25/.06” I open a sterile sleeve and drop it without cracking the cassette. Minor trade-off is the cost of a few extra frames/clamps in rotation; if that’s tight, at least bag clamps pre-threaded on dams.
